Can't use as shampoo but apples work very well when rubbed on clothing,hat,tree bark etc. I keep a bag of apples in truck during the season. Another good scent control is cutting cedar branches and putting them in large plastic trash bag. Put all your clothes inc hat and boots in bag after every hunt. El - Natural - and cheap!
