I used a Scrape Dripper last rifle season, with minimal results. I plan on using one or even a few this year during bow season. What is the earliest you guys would reccomend using a scrape dripper to set up a mock scrape, and would you reccommend using more than one in a small area? Thanks Guys

It depends what I'm using it for .
During the rut it's filled with nice smelly urine , natural or synthetic . Before and after the rut it's filled with food based attractant scents to draw does . Results have been mixed for both . Multiple drippers haven't produced any better results , but I haven't confirmed this with a game cam yet . The number of tracks around it(them) looked about the same .

I have very few results with a scrape dripper over a mock scrape. I wait until a deer in the area makes a scrape close by ( it doesnt take long) and then i hang it over that scrape i have found it to work alot better. But still not a whole lot of results!!

I would suggest setting the dripper up just prior to when the doe's will be coming into heat. During this time, bucks are just waiting to bust a nut and will be susceptable to the scent of a doe that's ready for some lovin'. Once the doe's do come into heat, the bucks will be traveling all over looking for them so by then you could be spending alot of stand time without seeing them. Of course this time table will be dependent on what part of the country you live in.
