Default Scrape Dripper

What is the earliest you could put out a scrape dripper and make a mock scrape? I heard October is probably the best time, but I was wondering if anyone has used one earlier in the season. Thanks

You'll have to keep us posted. I'd be interested to know what happens. I was thinking about doing my mock scrape around mid of Oct.??

My ol' timer buddies have always said October 1. I tend to agree. Don't want to mess up an area by being impatient.

I have already seen fresh scrapes so I wouldnt really consider it early. Also I figure if I set it up and go there opening day It has had 3 weeks to cool off.

From what I've read, as eary as August is fine so that you can get the deer accustomed to the mock scrapes. I responded to another post just like this giving some of the pro hunters who believe in this method. I'm starting mine next week.
