He probably knows his stuff and has time to spend in the woods to know where the game is. I know that I was pretty good when I was 20 because of the time I spent in the woods. Kshunter you are a young guy, what do you think?

I know a 14 and 16 year old from northern wisconsin (crandon area) that would amaze any bear hunter. They were taught well. They could go anywhere in the northwoods , find the sign , set the bait and have bear hittin the bait stations within 24 hours. Their dad even lets them pick the spot for the stands and hang em.
No , I wouldn't be discouraged by a 20 year old.

A twenty year old could have had a lot of time to hone hunting expertise especially in a given geographical area. Heck, I remember back when I was twenty, I was an expert at a lot of things

Generally, kids who are doing that sort of thing are pretty under control... I would do it.. The only thing is can you take a kid telling you what to do.?? I see it at work, older guys who really do not know the machine will not listen to anyone, cuz they know...By the way I am an older guy..But there is no reason to do anything the hard way...

I'd get some references from hunters who had hunted with him, but I'd do that for any guide. If the kid has grown up in that area and knows better than anyone else then age shouldn't matter. The only down side would be that you can't buy him a beer after he gets you that big boy.
