I know a 14 and 16 year old from northern wisconsin (crandon area) that would amaze any bear hunter. They were taught well. They could go anywhere in the northwoods , find the sign , set the bait and have bear hittin the bait stations within 24 hours. Their dad even lets them pick the spot for the stands and hang em.
No , I wouldn't be discouraged by a 20 year old.
