I have the broadhead and I like it a lot. The folding isn't really that great it just takes more time to setup.

Hi, My Dad has the Summit Broadhead backpacker...I asked him a few questions for you.
He says the cable system is great and quiet when going up/down a tree. Stand is light(17lbs). It is very sturdy and well made, seat is comfortable( Dad is 5'10" 200lbs). On the downside, he says " when getting ready to go down, its a bit of a effort to get your feet in the loops to decend. You really need to get your feet tops in there good and pull the strap around them tight so you dont lose the base(of course; top and bottom are tied together).
Getting feet out of loops are no problem. Also, he says you need to be in good shape , with the broadhead backpacker, one needs to use their forearms and arm strength to hoist your body up to get the next bite on the tree to climb. The one summit makes where you sit down and stand up is less strenous and easier to climb with.
I hope this helps...if you need me to ask him more...I will...he dont mind...
He gets a kick out of it when I pick his brain about hunting.
This weekend he's taking me out for turkey...I'm the shooter!!!!

The local shop sold alot of bullets and broadheads (treestands) last season. They were very popular. I have a Summit Revolution that I am very happy with but if I had to do it again then I would most definitely opt for a Broadhead. Great little stand that is extremely easy to use.
