I don't anything about bearcats, or vengeful owl's but I have seen a racoon tear up two of the best coon hounds my uncle had, got one in the water and damm near drowned the dog, keep tyring to hold her head under water. vicious little things they are.

I would say the Black Bear because its most common and found all over the country. The thing that makes them a big danger is they often eat part of thier kill right on the spot. A Grizzly often knocks you around but when it no longer feels threatened it will go away. Polar Bears will kill and eat you in a heart beat but thier local keeps them out of reach of most humans. Bear Cat EH?

Wolverine, unless I am mistaken. You know those kooky northerners and all their slang.

I would agree the wolverine/bearcat would have to be considered both dangerous and mysterious NA critters.

However a plain old wolf gives me the creeps, I have had bears come a tree and not even felt as scared as I do when a wolf looks my way...them eyes look right through you...spooky!!!!

Although slow and pokey a badger can be a mess to deal with, I came face to face with one a few years back while waterfowl hunting and he wasn't to pleasant...the 12 gauge and 3-3" BB's slowed him down but I needed a pee break after that encounter

lol timberjack, I got shivers.

Truthfully more people have been killed by game animals such as deer, elk, moose, and bison than any bear or mountian lion.

Them animals are out for revenge. lol. I know I got my paybacks coming. I'll be out bowhunting and a whole herd of elk will start eyeing my up and down saying he's only got six arrows boys lets take him. Does a guide qualify on the trophy list? Maybe I'll have to eat less and they'll think I'm too skinny to bother with.
