Some A- hole tore down my stand
Bow season came to a end this weekend in IN. I walked the familar trail to my stand Sat morning( my own property). I glance up from time to time looking for it's outline against sky. After a while I realize it isn't there. My 15 foot ladder stand is laying in two pieces on the ground.
Some one had gone to the trouble to bring a bolt cutter, and cut the chain,. and push the stand over.At first I thought maybe vandals, but what would they gain. Seems like a lot of trouble. But then maybe they had intended to steal it, and found it was to heavy to drag out. I have never had a problem with my neighbors, so I doubt it was any of them. The closest farm does let outsiders hunt. Thats the only thing I can think of.
I sure would like to find a way to get even.

the frist racoon trap i ever had was one i found 100 yards from the back porch when i was 8 years old, not knowing what it was i put a branch in it and it went off. a few years after that we had a coon in the yard and i could not get it set so i went to the guy i thought set it and asked him how to do it and the way he talked to me i could tell he knew it was his so when he asked where i got it i told him the truth and he says oh ha ha

Being an optimist, I see two good things about your story.
1) As previously pointed out, you still have your stand.
2) At least they waited for the season to be over.
With that being said I hope you find the sorry sob.

It's pretty sad when some people have to ruin other people's property just to make themselves feel good. All I can say is that this person really has to be a jerk to destroy private property.
