Default Water Hole Stand - AM or PM?

When will deer frequent a water hole?

Before going out to feed (PM)...or coming back from feeding (AM)?

Or anytime in between?

Deer will frequent a water source when they get thirsty!

With that out of the way , I' ve had more luck hunting water sources during midday than any other time. Thats just my personal experience , it could be different in other areas.

If it' s warm, hunt it at mid-day. Deer do get out of their beds in the middle of the day, but it' s usually from wanting a drink. Unless the rut is on and a pesky ol' buck get' s the does up.

There is a pond about 30yds to the south of where I hunt. I had a 10 point come to the pond at 9:00 a.m. problem was he was on the wrong side of the pond or maybe I was.
