Old Timers... Help?

In Montana or British Columbia its always a 4x4 ect., never called an 8 unless your an easterner. Same count as an elk. Bobby

In western canada we call all deer 4x4,4x5 etc as it better describes a deer.Saying 8 point is not very descriptive because the deer may have five points on one side and three on the other or it may have four on each side.With our method you get a better idea of what the rack actually looks like.
