Default The Future is getting Brighter....

Just to make a grin rise across your face. My son is almost three years old and for the last year and a half he has been addicted to the Outdoor channel. He and I will sit in the recliner for a couple hours a day when I am home and watch huntin' shows. He can recognize Deer, Turkey, Hogs, and Elk now that he has been watching those shows. Not to mention the magazines that we receive every month. He loves it.

You see, I work away from home a lot and the only communication that I have with him and my wife is the telephone and email. It is hard sometimes to watch your son grow up on a computer screen but, my wife is always there for me and she does what she can to make sure that he and I get to talk.

The other day when I called, my wife told me that they had walked out in the garden behind our home and my son just had to take his toy gun with him. He got three deer that day. A couple of days later he shot a deer off our front porch. Set his toy gun down and headed out across the yard. When my wife asked him where he was going, he said, " to get my deer, mom. Come help me, he is real big" . Remeber he is not yet three and he is loving it.

So am I.

hardluck that is pretty cool, my twins watch the outdoor channel with me also, they are 11 and started watching with me last year, they also started going hunting with me one at a time last year. Heck my wife has even started watching the outdoor channel with us also! The good thing about this is she gets to see the kill shots, and it used to be she would ask me how could I kill a deer. Do not get me wrong, she is not an anti, she loves venison and has no problems with me hunting as long as I don' t do it every day. Well she is starting to see that there is very little if any pain for the deer. All I have to do is get her out with me and the twins and maybe I will have 3 hunting partners instead of 2.

Thats really cool, Ihave a hunting video, Monster Buck V by Bill Jordan, my 3yr has watched it everyday for the last ...jeessh, its been a long time just the same, anyhow he keeps asking me when he can go out hunting with me, so i keep telling him when he gets a lil bit bigger. He seems to be okay with that, so he says anyhow. -there great-

Was putting up Christmas decorations today in the front yard with 4 yr old daughter. We have two of those illuminated reindeer that move. My girl says " Daddy don' t shoot these OK?" . Just gave her a hug and said " don' t worry sweetheart" . Gotta love those kids!
