RE: 2003 Buck pic
trohyhuntr, not to be a jerk...but what the h#ll are you looking at to come up with a 130-135 score? Saskbucks deer even with the deductions is more than 130 class buck, he even mentioned the score of 162. Am I missing something here? Either that or dude you need to brush up on your scoring/judging abilities without a tape and calculator!
BTW, here we talk/assume gross unless it is a contender for the book, then it is official measurements that count not guessing or the home jobs.

he grossed 162 4/8
trophyhuntr, I can only assume your trying to guess the net. Let me remind you that our bigger bodied deer don't show there spread like a southern deer. I have seen a lot of 160 & up class deer with under 18" spread up here, while nice it ain't all the score. I agree his mass ain't huge but I would peg him 14-15" per side which is pretty close to average for a mature whitetail. You forgot to mention beam size, which is another important factor to sizing up a deer!
Here are a few tips for all the members in judging deer in pics or on the hoof(ones I find that are very helpful and easy)...beam length to the nose you got 24-25" and the best of all is eye to nose is 9" place your g's(tines) in that spot and determine what your looking at.
