If you are upset because it is small then I guess I understand but your not really taking " Your" potential buck away. This may sound greedy but does chase buttons off so they don' t imbreed. So that button would have been chased off, so you took someone elses potential buck. I have shot 6 deer and two have been buttons. I didn' t know they were buttons but if I did I probably would have shot them anyways.

It takes a real marksman to hit a smaller target . I shot a doe fawn during a four day antlerless only season, was easy to carry out, cut up, and makes tender meat. got another antlerless tag, will kill another bambi if it our paths cross

I killed a doe last week that from a distance did not look as small as it turned out to be. But the meat was good! I have a freezer full from the 8 pointer the week before so I went ahead and ate this little doe over the weekend. I felt bad at first, but not after the frying pan had meat in it
