You measure the length of the main beam, plus the length of each point, plus the circumference between the head and 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th point. Add these all up, plus the inside spread and that gives you the gross score. Boone and Crockette is the most common scoring system, here is the link for a detailed description of how to score. You can do itself for a very rough score, but will need an official scorer to get a very accurate score.

I have taken 4 deer with my shotgun hunting, but hears a picture of my biggest buck yet. total, Ive killed 2 bucks and 2 does. the other buck was a small fork horn

Here is a Massachusetts state record back in 2009. Qualified by the Northeast big buck club as largest non typical taken by shotgun that year, which was registered with the club. This deer came from public hunting ground with heavy pressure. It appears to be a very typical rack but there are numerous sticker points which made it nontypical. Click on photo for a larger view
