OK my grand-daughter and I where watching "Is it real"about bigfoot. One of the reasons that they gave that they were not real was"hunters have never shot one".My grand-daughter (with her BIG blue eyes)ask Pa-pa would you shoot one?
So I'm asking what would you do?Not asking if they are real or not just "WHAT IF".
(A)Take the shoot?
(B)Holy $hit they are real and watch it walk by?

Almost everytime I go hunting I take a shot at something that I have no idea what it is. I'm hoping one day it will be bigfoot. If we all just keep shooting at everything, one day we will get one.
This year we are just going to start shooting when we hear something. Maybe we can get one that way!

part of me would want to let it walk and just "know" it's real.
part of me would not want to shoot a kid in a gorilla suit and end up in prison for murder.
and part of me wouldn't mind the millions, but by the time I'm roaming the pacific northwest I'll already have my millions right? so I'm saying let him walk...

This is why I've carried a blow gun with poison tip darts since the fall of '96. I already have my plan in place. When I make my first encounter with Bigfoot, I will launch an extremely intoxicating poison tipped dart in his brown hairy a$$ and after he wobbles around for about 30 seconds I will then make my move. While he is on the ground sucking his oposeable thumb I will tie him to a tree and feed him Jacks Links until the producers of Monster Quest arrive at my location. This is all drawn out on my dry erase board in my room.
To answer your question.... if he comes at me he is eating lead. If he happens to walk by he gets a pass because I will always be thinking it is Caleb in a gorrila suit.

I think that I answered this question once before on this site. While I don't believe they exist, in your scenario I would definitely let him walk. Here's my reasoning: If they really did exist, my money is on the fact that they would possess an intelligence that rivals our own.If they weren't intelligentwe would have evidence that they exist by now. If they're that intelligent, chances are the one you see isn't alone. If you shoot the one that you see, I'd bet you don't get out of the woods alive.

But I got 5 + 1 in the chamber and a .357 magnum. I like the odds of me making it to the truck for the get-away [8D]
