Once again, if it is legal were you hunt, then if you want, do it. If it is not legal, well...... people make choices everyday that will effect them for the rest of there lives. As someone said earlier we as hunters do not need to go around judging each other we have enough antis to do that for us. Personally I don' t see anything wrong with baiting if that is how a person chooses to hunt. It is no different then hunting with dogs, or going to a fenced in area. It is just one more thing that makes the hunt EASIER.

I hope everyone understands, I am not talking or picking on anyone here. I am just trying to explain that not all hunting areas are equal. Conditions in your area may not need anything. You have lots of cover, food, water and lots of deer. Others are not so lucky. Thats me! Others may be even worse. I know that many people hunt right over a feeder or bait pile. Its is used in deer and bear hunting all the time. That is their choice. I hope, through my post here, to show you that there is another side to the use of feeders. One that I feel is a positive.
Good luck and take care,

What was the question? Oh yeah, should you put it in a pile or spread it out.
Answer: Spread it out. Otherwise one or two dominant deer will get most of it. The feed will benefit and attract more deer if spread out.
