Nub, I suppose they dont' accept bears taken over bait either? No where throughout their books or website did I find any information stating they did/do not accept animals taken over bait. Here is what I found.

WBBC Entry Requirements

All animals must be harvested in Wisconsin in accordance with all state game laws or Tribal game laws or restrictions if harvested under Tribal Jurisdiction.
All animals must be harvested in an ethical manner and in accordance with fair chase.
Deer antlers must be dried a minimum of 60 days.
Bear skulls must be cleaned of all flesh and be dried a minimum of 60 days.
Entries must be scored by a Wisconsin Buck & Bear Club official measurer. Scores will be accepted from Official Pope & Young and Boone & Crockett certified measurers also.
The score must meet WBBC specified minimums.
A clear photo of hunter and animal must be furnished along with the score sheet.
There is no fee to enter an animal in the Wisconsin Trophy Records Book.
Submit entries to:

maybe you know something we don' t.

Nub never said anything about anyone not excepting animals taken over bait.

He did say this.." I wasn' t aware that the WI. Buck and Bear Club listed which animals were taken over bait."

After you said.." I' m sure if I went through the Wisconsin Buck and Bear Club Record Book I could find a ton of other deer killed the same way."

I also dont see any listings of animals killed with the use of bait.

James , the buck in the pic Nub posted , (the Jordan buck) was harvested long before baiting was ever legal. I did the majority of my hunting before baiting was legal in Wisconsin and I can tell you from my experiences that harvesting any deer without the use of bait is much more satisfying. Alot of Wisconsin hunters are mad about losing the right to bait , but I' ll bet the majority of the ones who are mad about it weren' t old enough to remember what hunting was like before baiting was ever legalized. It' s down right pathetic to hear hunters say " I' m not even going hunting if I cant bait , whats the use , I wont see anything anyway" [:' (] Thats the biggest problem I believe baiting has caused! Forget the CWD for a moment and look around at all of these kids who are being taught to throw out a pile of corn and wait for the deer to come. And their thinking they are learning to hunt
The CWD issue is just the icing on the cake for me!

Well since you guys were not AWARE they accepted animals taken over bait....they do.

And I know exactly what you guys are saying when people complain about not being able to take a deer because they can' t bait...so they just arent' going to go hunt this year. I' m not gonna lie ,that is pathetic. I' m not one of those people. I have no problem at all hunting without bait. But do I enjoy being able to bait if I want to....sure. I enjoy(ed) feeding more than anything.

OK James, I see your haveing a hard time comprehending what I said. My quote.
I wasn' t aware that the WI. Buck and Bear Club listed which animals were taken over bait.
Its not a question of, Do they accept animals taken over bait. Its a question of are they in the book as bait kills and non bait kills?

and the reason I put the link up as well as the pics is because you, Nub, and too many others believe that big bucks cant' be killed over bait.

Exactly my point James. How would you be able to " find a ton of deer killed the same way" ? The WBBC does not tell you if they were taken over bait.

You must be thinking of another link. I only see one pic of a deer other than yours. Guess we have a difference of opinion on whats a nice deer and a Jordan class deer. Sounds like your really bummin about this bait ban James. Are you going to boycott the DNR? Does it not matter that baiting can spread disease? Or do you think your little piece of paradise is safe from CWD and TB?
