Why does anyone need a bait pile. People should do their homework find the trails, Beds and NATURAL FEEDING AREAS and quit being concerned about bait piles and the LAZY WAY of Hunting if you can call it that. Anyone that needs a bait pile to hunt with isn' t much of a hunter or should I say SPORTSMAN

I posted the above article after having a long talk back and forth between Todd and I on another board. I hesitate to say where because I know it' s frowned on by the mods here. But the guy sure can belt out cat scratch fever. Anyway, I really don' t think that the article does Todds position justice. The whole thing about baiting, yeah, I know, I don' t bait, and I don' t think it' s hunting, but I don' t give a rats a$$ if someone else does it. Lets not get into the topic of what I do is right, and if you don' t do it that way you suck. Everyone is different, and I support anyone who legally hunts. I really wish that I could cut and paste our whole conversation because I think you would understand his point more clearly.

Your right about as long as its legal and like you say I don' t care who does or does not but they shouldn' t put up a big fuss if they can' t. Heck here in Jersey it just became legal recently. Didn' t mean to come off rough.

Todd:
We have no CWd here so why expand erradication into my area?
I assume you hunt in that miniscule portion of Marquette Co. thats included in the EZ? Tell me where were you last year when eradication came knocking on my back door?
No I do not farm. Any more questions?
How bout answering the other 5 above. Why don' t you just explain your whole stand here and now? You say this isn' t just about bait, why should I join your boycott? Convince me your just not some pissed off baiter thats mad because he has to do something he doesn' t agree with to stop CWD.

I' m assumning that you have tested every single deer in the state? You have right!! I mean how else would you know with out a doubt what parts of the state is truely affected.

Another thing, Why is it " your" area and not everyone elses area? Is it ok to ban baiting in the rest of the state just as long as it doesn' t affect " your" area?

I, also, have to agree with nub, please explain your position on this and convince everyone here that your way will be the best way.

Sounds like a group of people whinning because, Lord help them, they actually have to learn to hunt now.

" ' How do you get new people when you make it so hard for them?" she said.' "
I hope to heck that kind of attitude isn' t the future of our sport. Good grief, that' s just sad!

I was at the hearings never made them all I do work for a living.

I was at legislative sessions gave testimony. I gave interiews on media outlets.

I have fought issues in area initially effected.

I was there problem is I did not see many of you. So where does your position come into play?

As for lazy- That whole ethics issue is truely the disease of our herritage and I would never want any hunter associated with me that feels that way.

I have been on this issue when Michigan first had problems with TB.

I have been in canada to see how they handled the brief occurence in Mannitoba of TB

I saw spring bear hunting lost in Ontario where were you?

I saw attacks on hound use in Wisconsin and fought back where were you?

I saw traspping outlawed out west where were you?

I fought for the dove hunt where were you?

I tried to get a spring bear hunt in WI our committee members I serve with rejected the proposal out of fear of the anti hunters where were you?

Patricia Randolph was elected to the congress where were you?

Ignorance and name calling will not resolve this issue.

If you can honestly say you are 100% happy and agree wholeheartedly with the dept then simply tell me I am full of s##t. Otherwise get involved.

Never question where I have been because I have been knee deep in the mix and will walk completly away eventually to leave you with the mess you seem so happy with.

Jersey has some new laws and I was there to help them. Ask around and you will find I worked with state reps there as well. Where were you when they wanted a bear hunt?

I have been in several states and providences. Where were you?

Good luck and I truely hope for the best.-TM

Also for the concerned I served on the heritage committee and the direction we are headed is truely disgusting.

Our efforts with the limits being proposed and initiated are less than newcomer freindly and the attitude stay out of the woods there' s more for me shows the selfish attitudes out there.

How many of you have literally taken at least one newcomer and paid there way each year into the field. I have and continue to.

My wife had deep sentiment to speak up. She has seen me come home late at night from hearings and meetings only to tell her we lost more.

Take a look around folks it is not as rosey as you wish it to be.

I wish I were wrong on this trust me I' d rather admit I am wrong than keep fighting like this. You know I have and remain the first to call myself to the table if I am wrong.

Please set personal traditions and beliefs aside and approach the whole concept with a partial open mind.

Imagune had we not done this and Gore was elected.-TM

Todd: I see you are full of something, I' d call it yourself tho. I' ve been to meetings, I voted for doves, I hunted the last spring hunt in Ontario. I, I, I, I.

I asked for your stand. And explainations why. Your pro bait. You want people to stop buying lisences. You want them to not allow hunting. Stop buying property in WI. Stop reporting game violations. You sound more like a spokesman for PETA than us sportsmen. I will never support you or your cause. Good god man, you call yourself a sportsman? Get your head out of your a$$.
