Bullseye,
First I'd find out where and what type of landscapes you'll be hunting before I'd make my choice. I hunt both southern indiana and northern indiana and both produce totally different shot senarios. Southern Indiana will give you alot more hills and valleys than northern indiana. I typically have shots at less than 60 yards. Northern Indiana will give a lot more opportunities for longer range shots because its typically a lot flatter terrain. I would go with the muzzleloader. I would work up a load that shoots decent at the most probably ranges you'll be shooting in hunting situations. Also don't discount the bow just because its gun season. A lot of the deer that I've taken over the course of 20 years of hunting in Indiana have been within 20 yards so don't dismiss it yet.
