help me build a feeder

RE: help me build a feeder
I hang mine from a tree using a pulley and a boat winch. I got 3 years on one rechargeable battery using this spreader. http://www.americanhunterfeeders.com...er_kits_5.html
You'll probably want to take some thin sheet metal and make a funnel bottom for the inside of the drum. Cabelas sells the funnel parts too but they're kinda pricey. I have mine hanging in the garage right now (since we have a baiting ban here in Michigan) maybe I'll click a picture of it.

If you want a gravity type feeder do this. Cut a rectangle at the bottom of the barrel about 6 inches long and 4 inches high. Cover it with rabbit wire (you can buy this at just about any feed store) secure it with self tapping screws and big washers. I set mine on blocks, the deer will paw the corn out of it. Very cheap to make.
