i bait and am not ashamed about it

I think one of the reasons so many people are against baiting is because we have grown up where it is illegal and we look at people who bait as a law breaker, poachers if you will.

I think it bating is different. There is no logical way that you can say that hunting afood plot is the same as sitting on top of a pile of corn. Food plots take time and work to maintain and grow. Its not just dumping a bag of corn in front of your stand.
But, if baiting was legal here, then I would do it too so don't worry.

Looks like it's time to wind this thread down with agreeing to disagree. Nobody is going to change anybody's mind on this forum, and I'm not certain thay should try, I was just sharing my ideas on the subject. Alas, I MAY soon have to quit hunting and gunsmithing all together as my back is deteriorating,in need of surgery/fusion #5, and now they're talking about replacing 1 of my knees (according to this last orthopedic surg doc visit ). No matter how we hunt, we should cherish the time afield. That's why I've always been hooked on stillhunting/spot & stalking with bow-certainly not the best way of getting backstraps in the skillet but the most rewarding when you do.

Stalkingbear, I appreciate your perspective.I wish I was able to hunt in an area where I could do just as you aredoing. Unfortunately I can not. And I still like to get into the woods and enjoy watching nature and hunting.
RR, I do understand what you are talking about. Yes I actually do have multiple feeders up around the area I hunt. Stillalthough you have notchanged my mind onanything I will give what youhave said some thought.
I can absolutely see the perspective stalkingbear brings to this and to me it is an all or nothing debate. Either you hunt and do not hunt over food source or you do, be it a feeder or a food plot.
My father-in-law uses food plots and feeders and I can tell you the deer activity he gets at the food plots is far greater than what he gets at his feeder.

You are a f****** a$$hole. I hope you get caught with that crap one day. I'd love to see all your guns on a chop saw in the basement of the police station. You are not a hunter, and never will be. You're nothing but a low life piece of crap. I can't belive the damn moderators even allowed that stupid picture on this site.
Get a life punk.

i dont see nothing wrong with having a couple of food plots or even salt licks where one hunts especially if he owns his own land and has little acreage as i do 24 acres....one needs to have something going for him to draw them.and helps the deer survive in the winter.

Baiting / Food plots / corn or other agricultural products are all one in the same!!
Humans...ie YOU.. do something to CHANGE the natural environment the deer have been living in. Changing their diets to something not of their original diets.
If you do it, that is great for you...i don't see anything wrong with it as long as it is legal..........However.......don't come to me wanting a big CONGRATS for the monster you killed eating a bean plant from a food plot, apple under your feeder, or corn from your families farm land......that, IMO, is a load of crap.... not saying I would not hunt deer in any of those circumstances as i hunt for the meat...but i sure as heck would not come on here boasting of a 15 point whitetail i killed in any of those circumstances!!!!

You are really whacked out on your dope to even THINK about, let alone actually posting picture of pot smoking thingy on an hunting site-what's wrong with you?
Bryant, I was wondering exactly what an "double digit" buck is. Is it some type of deformed buck that has extra hooves or sexual organs? If so, TOO MUCH INFO and I've never seen an double digit buck.
