If it is that cold either one would work those deer are going to want to get some food in them. I would hunt in the evening but thats just me.

In the last few weekends here in New England, the weather has turned cold. It seem when I hunt with the temps 10-20 degrees, the deer are moving very early. On three ocassions, I have seen deer at sunrise or shortly after which is about 7am. That has been encouraging because we don't have high deer numbers, about 10-12 deer per square mile.

I see more activity in the mornings than the afternoon or mid-day. I hunt dark 'til dark.
