I am using Rage 2 blade broadheads and I can't believe what they do to an animal.

I switched to slick tricks because of all the good reviews on the bowhunting forum. They are awsome. I don't have to worry about my arrows planing anymore and the holes they put in deer are huge because they've got 4 blades. Other compact 4 blade broadheads probably work well also.

Here's a picture of a Rage hit from this weekend.great blood trail even if it missed the heart and deer traveled about 50 yards. That was a shot at maybe 15 yards at 70 d/w...problem is it didn't pass through,it did clip back of shoulder and took out 2 ribs.It went through but didn't penetrate the other side of hide and he lost arrow running(we found arrow later).

I've killed deer with thunderheads, muzzy 4 blade, and the rage two blade. The thunderheads are solid, but there are better ones out there for most modern set ups. The muzzy's are great, but they don't shoot like my field points. I still use the muzzy's with my crossbow. The rage broadheads were great too, but the blood trail I got wasn't any better than with the muzzy.
I use slick tricks now. They are field point accurate for me, cause just as much damage as the muzzy, and I can resharpen them easily. Four or five swipes on the diamond stone is all it takes to sharpen the blades back to hair shaving sharp.
