30/06 or a 20 gauge

I'm stuck in the shotgun only zone so at 26yr old I still use the trusty 20ga. I got when I was 12

i use a sks chinese army rifle with a thirty round banana clip. Got in in Nam and it is prefect for hunting.Obviously i never miss. Nappy 13

The rifle ive killed the most deer with is a remington model 700 270. But here lately the ones i use the most are a tikkaT3 light in 30-06 w/3-9-40 nikon. The other is a browning Abolt stalker in 270wsm w/ 3.5-10-50 leupold vxlll scope. All of em kill em dead.

seems to be a lot of .270's ..I don't personally own a 270 although they make a fine rifle....I've shot a ton of deer with my rem 700 adl 30-06...now I use my Savage 25-06...flat and fast

towards last wirth 30-06 I'd shoot the accelerators...talk about fast and flat...over 4000 FPS...once shot a fox at 400 yrds...hair in crosshairs yet and it was DRT

i shot maril 336 remington 35 grain 200.

My meat getter is a Savage 99C in 308 Win., using Rem. 150 grn PSP. Never had to take a second shot. I do use 180 grn.s for moose though.

But for now, where I hunt, Marlin .444. When in the shotgun zone, Remington 12ga.
