I shoot a CVA Optima, 130 grains of 777 and a 240 grain Hornady sabot.

700 bdl 30-06, and a sweet Knight wolverine 50 cal.........

Sporterized 6.5X55 swedish mauser w/fixed 4 power scope. It may not be the best, but it shoots better than I can shoot.

For the closer range shots we have in this forested area, this is the perfect gun. If I were shooting over 120 yds, I would go with something else like a 30-06.

This will be my first season to hunt with my rifle Hill Country Rifles built for me.

Can you still buy that ammo off of the shelves in Australia? I think it has been discontinued here in the states.
