Well said. As I've stated in other posts, whitetail hunting is truly a spiritual experience. Congrats on the freezer space. I've a 21 cu ft and a 10 cu ft myself and filling them in the fall is always a pleasure. Like myself, my boys have been raised on game. It's just what my family knows and now you can offer the same to yours throughout the year. Supper tonight was browned venison steaks (little bit of water for the best gravy on this planet), some garlic and some homemade crandberrys thrown in to zip it up a bit. Over rice with some fresh bread to dip, it was fantastic. What was even better???? The entire family was in the kitchen enjoying not only the incredible aroma but some excellent conversation while the meal was cooking. As we were eating one of my boys looked up and stated, "that's why we hunt Dad.". If not the best, one of the best early father's day presents I've gotten. Now that's what you've got to look forward to adam.

Reading your post made my day - Thank you. It is a refresher to us all - It was not about the score, but how you played the game. I was very lucky and was raised to realize that how much enjoyment gotten out of life is the most important thing.

Congratulations on your purchase. It is nice to see that not everyone here just donates their deer.

I appreciate your responses.

Another great example:
I went out on my buddy's boat today trolling for rainbows, browns and lakers. Caught a smallmouth bass and thats it. It was the most fun I have had in a long time. Maybe next time we will experience the proper pull-down.

Thanks
Adam
