I hit a doe that this past fall. I was going around 50 mph. and she jumped out of behind some thick junk right beside the road (the road service was JUSTabout to bushhog) and I nailed her. Poor thing went flyin' and actually tried to get up and walk away before she died (a pitiful sight). It was a week before bow season started and I told my dad I just couldn't wait!

Then the story gets intersting. I stop the car to get out drag the deer over to the side of the road and to pick up myfront bumper. A lady proceeds to come storming out of the house telling me she was going to report me for going over the speed limit (the speed limit was 55) and that Iride by her house every single day intentionally playing my music too loud.(I ride bythe house 3 days a week onmyway to school)and for hitting ONE OF HER DEEER. I look at her kind of funny and she says that she had been feeding that deer, along with about5 others right behind her house. Well her house was about 20 yards from the road. I thought about sayin' and who should be reportin' who? But decided someone that stupid was not worth such a comment.

What a lunatic.

I've hit three deer in my life, and all of them did major damage to my truck. I've also had many very close calls.I hit an 8 point this season, in Oct., and didn't kill him. I got permission from the landowner to try and find him. It was muzzleloader season, so I took my gun with me and jumped him. To make a long story short, he had two badly broken legs and more than likely internal injuries,so I finished him off. The damage was over 4 grand. This is just one reason I have 0 deductible comprehensive insurance.

My wife has a problem hitting deer about 1 a year....
Last one she was south bound out of New Rockford and a pickup was North bound and a deer ran in front of the trk,the trk hit the deer sending it into her windshield and put a big hole in the glass, also took out the driver side fender and rear view mirror...she call theHwy Patroland they said it wasnt enough damage to drive out and make the claim....[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@].

The p/u did not stop.......it was 11:30 at night and she was 140 miles from home and it was Dec....she had to drive on the interstate with a hole in her windshield looking out the passanger side of the windshield..
SHE WASNT A HAPPY CAMPER........
The damage was 2700.00 dollars....O-ya she called the state of North Dakota Hwy Patrol and made a Complaint and they did look into it.....and that was that....
We drove back up there the nxt week and found parts of the trks grill and her mirror.....it was a ford p/u,then she call again to see if they would check around to see if they could find the trk but they did nothing....
Iam glad she wasnt killed.....

2 days after season last year I was going about 55 mph and watched as 4 does came from my left side. One got the front end of my truck and another T-boned the side. Both were pretty messed up but nothing like what I saw Monday night. I was driving back from GA and saw a small deer get hit by an 18 wheeler at 65 mph. Really nothing left but hide and legs, the blood trail was about 50 ft long. Looked like a bucket of paint spilled all over interstate.

As smart as they are, they havent figured out that they need to look both ways before crossing the road.[]

Hita doewhen I was 18-20, spun like a top and died quickly. When I was about 12 my dad was driving me to guitar lessons one night and a doe was in the road. We had time to slow down and eventually stopped, the deer was just standing in the road staring at us. Out of the blue the thing heads straight for us! The doe jumps the hood landing on and breaking the windshield out of the old station wagon. Deer ran off. Just a little blood and a busted windshield, far as I know the deer was fine. One of the strangest things I'd ever seen.

We think the deer was trying to jump the headlights, but really have no idea what she was thinking.

Anyhow, SHOOTSOME DOES! Around here its getting just as likely to hit one one the way to the stand as it is get one hunting.

I hit a buck one time at the begining of the spring, he had like two inches of horn. He was realbig, he would have been a nice buck that fall.
