No Baiting Ban

The DNR still thinks the spread of CWD is spread by the deer herding up around bait piles.I don't know if they could ever prove that or not. I like putting out a corn pile and placing a camera on it but for hunting it I just don't do it.

The thing I dont get is the DNR says they want the deer herd controlled but they would be taking a great management tool away from hunters to get the herd under control [&:]

The deer herd up in the winters in whats called "Deer Yards" Although you dont see the yards like we did back 10-15 and even 30 years ago they still do this. I think theres more CWD passed around in the winter months when they yard up than the little bit of baiting that goes around. If one deer has CWD, you can bet more will, no matter where they congregate and over what food supply. Theres not a science to it at all. What comes around goes around. I dont think a baiting ban will even slow CWD down.
