"baiting is allowed in all private property and is illegal only in small portions of WMA's in jersey. and the last few years here you can't hardlypattern deer because of the winters"
Also all Federal lands there is NO BAITING ALLOWED, I must say to pattern deer is easy, if you take the time out to apply yourself, more bait you put out the easier it becomes to pattern deer. The last few winters here in NJ has had no negative affect on he deer herd, but what did is the liberal seasons and harvests the state allows.......Unlimited harvest of antlerless deer, this includes button bucks which are your future stock of rack bucks. I'm not sure where you hunt, but the deer in my area don't grow antlers if they are dead. Let the little ones walk, take 2 or 3 does out per year, let the rest walk, THINK OF THE FUTURE

were I live in northern wisconsin, everybody baits thats the way of life its either with feeders in somebodys backyard or 20 yards in front of somebodys stand. Its terrible how many people bait it makes hunting a competition and the deer become nocturnal. Also the ban will not pass because of the legislatures won't pass because a few bad apples complain.

IL passed it, no baiting, well no feeding, you never could bait....and now you can't feed. I'm not opposed to feeding with a broadcast feeder style. But I guess its probably for the better, I guess you can't pass a law saying only broadcast feeders allowed....

Im not for it or against it. I dont use bait anymore during bow season but may put out a little treat once in while but away from my stands and sometimes Ill scatter some corn around the woods during gun season after we have all our corn off just to keep them fed a bit. Other than that I pretty much quit baiting and am starting to get into food plot planting this year.

My family has always still hunted or stalked for deer in Ntnl. Forest land. We won't mind seeing the no bait ban go through. If you are healthy and strong enough I can't see why you'd need to bait. They should allow for dissabled or physically challenged hunters to use it though. Everyone should get a chance to tag a deer.

We can only bait black bear, and a food plot isn't considered baiting here. I don't know about anywhere else though. I wouldn't even know what it's like to bait a deer, it might take the real thrill out of it for me, the same as a trail cam.

This year only one of my stands are gonna be using bait. The rest is all food plots... But i'd love to see everything be no baiting for a few years to get the old nocturnal bucks out... My dad said a few years ago they had awesome hunting since there was no baiting but once they started baiting agian the big bucks dissappeared...

The thing I dont get is the DNR says they want the deer herd controlled but they would be taking a great management tool away from hunters to get the herd under control [&:]
