RE: gorilla treestands?
For buying a new stand I do not think it can honestly be beaten for the money in any way shape or form. Just get a good heavy rubber bungee to help hold it together better than the elastic one provided and I'd fill it with great stuff to quiet it down some. And on mine there was two small bungs on it that will allow you to make a little gun rest if you are creative.

I bought one last year and love it ( Walmart clearance ).
It is a light as a steel stand can get. Just use an extra tarp strap to hold it closed when it's on you back.
I like it so much, I bought a second one this year on Walmarts after season clearance for $49.00

I bought 1 also and I like it allot but was wondering if you could replace the netting with something a little more comfortable and where can you find a shooting rail to go on it I've searched everwhere.

I got one for Christmas they were marked down to $75.00 at my local wally. Looks like a nice stand I haven't used it yet. My friend bought one back at the beginning of bow season and love it. He has a few summits and like this one as well or better.

Great stand for the $$. It's basically the 24 lb Greyback climber. With a little practice you can "float" the straps around the tree while climbing and be very quiet. I like the netting seat...can we say hammock? The only drawback is it's not he 19 lb aluminum model, but you aren't paying for it either.

I just picked up two of them for $49.99 each. One for me and one for my hunting buddy. For 50 bucks you cant beat it. Hopefully tomorrow I will climb the tree in my back yard to try it out.
