this is my land.....
the big wooded area
but the field south is wheat field this year and it will be a bean field next year( i dunno if that will affect deer movement or not) there is alot of deer movement in there...i can not find a main trail to set up my camera on ( it is a moultrie D40 by the way) that is why i am asking for your help. i no trail cameras are advanced but they cant take 100 yard by 100 yard pictures![8D] there was a monster buck spotted in the southeast corner of our land. we had no idea he was in there so we are gunna scout him this year
just any imput would help...here is a link to the picture if you need it for some reason http://www.flashearth.com/?lat=40.338758&lon=-94.703097&z=17&r=0&src=ggl ....thanks
oh and wherever you guys agree on the most i am going to scout it this weekend for trails. there is enough snow on the ground to see a good trail

Your best bet would be to bait them up with corn or something and shoot down a cleared area about 20 or so foot by 40 or so foot. Any limbs, vines, etc need to be removed to keep them from triggering the camera when the wind blows. Looks like that is a 40 acre parcel, but a big buck will cover 6 to 8 hundred acres easily.

I have found you get many more buck photo's on a good trail than you do at the feeder. Move it around like once a month and see what you get. We caught a big 9 point on 3 different game cameras over 2000 acres and then my buddy shot him a mile down the road during the rut chasing a doe......

hard to tell based on picture....but if deer travel around i would have to say the tree line on the buttom right hand side of the picture that borders the field....i find or tend to see way more deer travel small tree lines such as this one....

Start with a main trail close to where you saw him at the field. You can then move it to different maintrails that lead to the field. After you get him on a trail follow that trail till it splits and pick one and hang it there. If you don't get him there move it to the other trail of the split. Once you figure it out from there you can keep moving it deeper in to the woods until you find where he is heading to bed up. Now that you have him figured out just setup a stand at the best spot to access the woods and shoot the big buck. I wish it were that easy!!
