Hunted Muleys in S. California while in the service.Came back home to hunt White Tail.Mucho Big differance in taste!

Muley can/will taste very gamey.Skin em,trim em good and let hang if cold enough,helps some.

I agree, the forage or area they roam often changes the quality and taste of the meat. But have wondered why moose don't seem to follow the same pattern, most of the moose I have taken are in swamps, etc and only once did I have a poor quality animal(he was mature (old), rutted to death, just plain smelled of musk and pee.(to boot I shot him on crop land)
