snorting buck

RE: snorting buck
Did you see the buck?
Big bucks will snort to call there "hot doe" back in the safety of his presense.
Was it your typical snort/blow?
I was huntin' in a creek bed last year when a doe came down to the water and I noticed a 160" class buck nonchalantly walk out of the cedars and snort ... I could see his breath as he did this twice.
Nervously, the doe retreated to the safety and confines of the large buck.
The buck just stood there for a few seconds as the doe walked passed him into the cedars. He slowly turned and followed her.
When you hear this snort and you know it isn't you that caused the commotion ... hold on!

RE: snorting buck
Had this happen last night at dark. Had 5 does under my tree and I was waiting for them to get out of there before I climbed down. To my right I heard a deer blow I was immediately mad another deer got my scent. As I was cussing scent lock a buck came bolting by my tree running a doe around. I also had no idea they do this and I thought I seen it all.
