Hey guys, my uncle just sent me some pictures of some deer that he has in his backyard, and since he lives in the county, he can hunt them, so he was just wondering if you guys could give an estimate of how old the bucks are.

Problem is, I don't know how to post pics, so if someone could help me, I would appreciate it, so that you guys can start guessing.

Both of those deer are probably 1 1/2 years old.

If they were that young, wouldn't they be spikes instead of bucks with a rack?

It just depends on the genetics they have and the health and food sources they get during the summer. Some deer do only have spikes when they are 1 1/2 but other do get up to 6 points during their first year.
