I get a real realshort hair cut and shave my mustache and armpits before hunting season and keep it that way.

And one tip if you hunt on the ground, brush up the dirt with your foot around the area you'll be sitting. It brings up the dirt smell and covers your human scent.

Best scent reducing method I've ever heard of is the one that can be proven. Someone let me know when this happens!
I've tried it all and still got winded! Since about 3 years ago I've been saving my money and spending more time finding more ground to spread my time around so I don't have to worry about over sacturating areas by hunting them over and over again! First time in is the best means to catch them by surprise! Surprise kills......

StrutnTom- you aren't thinking my man, Don't you know anout the "certified" angus beef craze? A beefer only needs to be 30% angus in order to be labeled certified angus beef at your local supermarket.
As far as the "organic" food craze, most of these vegies and fruits are not grown organically. It's a marketing ploy by farmers to crank prices. Same with angus beef. ScentLok is a marketing scheme geared toward hunters just like the two food products I mentioned are geared toward consumers.

Each of us have our own "procedure" for reducing our human scents and using cover/lure scents to help us get closer to those big bucks. I am facinated by the rituals that we go through in order to do this. Personally I wash my clothes (even a dedicated pair of underware) in Scent Killer Detergent a couple night before the hunt, then I place them in a Space Bag (the kind you vaccum out the air) to store them away from any outside air. The morning of the hunts I use scent killer boday wash to wash my hair and body. I then powder myself with ATSKO's N-O-DOR (a thin coat all over my body) then I use scent killer deodorant. As I layer my clothes I spray each layer with Carbon Blast Plus and also re-up throughout the course of the day.
To elimate my scents in the field I use a critter scent like raccon or even deer urine and to lure I use estrus urine and sometime concentrated corn scent (though it may be too foreign for some locations). This is my method in a nut shell. Please Share yours.

From:
1. clean set of clothes every time you got out
2. clean body every time you go out
3. Scent Killer on everyting when out of truck
4. downwind always never an exception
This is futile with a bad setup or entrance into your stand.
