Hunting today in PG County Md. I found a huge one. When I got home, I used the chart from B&C's website and came up with this score(141 3/8) This was only an 8 pt. perfect symmentry. To me this is huge. I would love to see the 160 min. I figure this deer was hit by a car. I guess he's been dead about one month. I would have been scared if I saw this coming thru the woods. Actully, I saw the antlers in a thicket and thought he was gonna jump up. I was about to soil myself. I kept walking probably lookin' stupid, til I figured out what was happening. I'm glad ya'll didn't see that part. Anyway he's a dandy. I'll try to post pics as soon as i get this scanner working.

Good Luck. Capt Brad.

Too bad you didn't kill it from hunting, but at least you found the rack. Can salvage something out it, maybe some rattling antlers, or a nice looking rack for display.

Not near as big but about 3 or 4 years ago here in Missouri's last day of gun season, I was crawling through a thick cedar patch when I spotted a buck about 50 yards from me bedded down. It was in an odd position with it's head straight out. So originally, I thought it had spotted me and was just making as low a profile as possible so I would crawl on by. I put my scope on it for a while and I could see no movement. I then thought it was dead and was about to get up. I decided that was stupid, so I went ahead and shot it. Turn out I was correct when I assumed it was dead. It was a 10 pointer and probably scored around 110 to 120 or so. Someone else must had shot it several days earlier on a neighbors land. At least I can say I shot it, but can't say that I killed it.

Capt. Brad I didn't know that any parts of PG were still wooded. I live a couple counties south and although MD isn't really recognized for big bucks we always seem to produce some top quality antlers every year. I think if we had better deer managment and maybe some antler restrictions we could really see some huge bucks coming out of here.

Thats a great find captain, I look forward to the early spring when there is still snow out and find the sheds from the previous year before the rodents get them. I have found some nice ones but I would like to find the biggies on their head dureing hunting season. All in time, Bobby <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

beanzy, here is the link you are looking for.http://www.boone-crockett.org/bgReco...area=bgRecords
When you get there, just click on the type of game you want to score.

BTW, that is a good sized 8 point, CAPT. BRAD!

Capt brad, good find. I think find racks and especially sheds to be a real trophy in my books. They tell the story and really make you see why they are referred to as the &quot;ELUSIVE WHITEAIL BUCK!&quot;

It is kind of nice if your chasing a certain deer and you pick up one or bonus both of his sheds, than you know he made it through the season...now you just have to hope he make winter, spring and summer and doesn't slide downhill!
