How are we poachers! We use the meat and usually it's taking extra does! Nothing wrong with it at all!

I know some people that they find a family member that doesnt hunt they give them the deer and they say they shot it. So that gives the hunter other tag to kill a deer. Why do people do this it doesnt seem very fair.
Because they are POACHERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here party hunting is illegal, though it happens. I personally give some of my deer away each fallbut they all bare my tag and I haveharvested them. This is perfectly legal once the animal is harvested the lincense holder is free to do with the meat as they chose too. In most cases this is supplement does tagsI pick up through the draw process here in Saskatchewan. Though this year I used my forest only tag to harvest a mature buck that will be made into sausage for my sister and brother in law(as per their request). Insuch casesI don't accept any money for the tags, cost associated or processing(whichI do myself). That would make the above practice ILLEGAL.

I have been asked in the past to shoot a deer for someone and they'll buy the tags, all cases where met with a firm NO! ILLEGAL once again.

you could always hunt MD where we can kill 2 bucks and 10 does with each weapon. Saves all this his tag/ her tag stuff. We can all kill 36 deer a year nobody has to worry about whos tag it is.

It is illegal here in Okla, but I was looking at the book at the check station the other day and saw where my neighbor lady who is at least 80 and never hunted checked in an 8pt. buck. I guess her son-in-law who is 14 carrot ass hole isn't satisfied with just one buck.

Alot of families here in missouri donate 1 or 2 deer to family members annualy, especially retired people that no longer are able to hunt. I like the idea, and no its not poaching.

SRBowman, you have to understand that many here incorrectly use the term "poacher" to simply mean somebody guilty of any game violation at all. Don't ask me howthe meaninggot twisted in to that definition but for many here it has. So in these guys minds, you are a poacher for the most trivial of offenses. Like I said before though, imo those that get all puffed up and upset, pointing their finger like a school child at somebody who put's a family members tag on a deer has more problems than a poor understanding of words. I think it goes back to poor potty training but who knows?

I think the 1st post is being read 2 different ways. Some guys are reading it as party hunting which is legal in some places(not here in PA). The way I read it is buying tags for your wife, mom, aunt, friend etc who've never hunted a day in thier lives and using that to tag a deer. I can't see how any state would let that be legal.

Come to NY my friend, it's perfectly legal here. The limit is 2 though. Oh yea, don't forget to bring your wife and mom. You might need an extra tag!
