I'm sure you could use a laser style sight that way he could hold the gun and all while you help position it on the deer. Thi way you are not trying to look around him and not getting in eachothers way. Some states have laws against using these but 'm sure there are ways around it ke in your situation.

I am thinking the same way you are. Try to off-set another scope off of his. sight that scope in with the original scope and aim with that. I am sure you can rig something up with a pair of scope mounts.

Be sure to check your state law before trying the lasers. It is illegal here to use any sighting device that projects a light on the animal!

I've really been brain stormin. I thought maybe a red dot scope would work if I fabricate a mount that is offset from the rifle. What I don't know is how much adhustment I would have on the windage. I figure if the scope is offset about 5-6 inches I would be able to sight the target without getting into Brandon's way to make the shot. By the way he is left handed so I think it would be better for me being right eye dominant. What do you folks think. By the way thanks for all the comments they have really been helping me think through this

what about using a pistol scope on the rifle. This allows you t focus from a bit farther back, like sitting behind him.
I saw an episode on the Texas trophy hunters. One guy took his best friend who was blind, hunting. He sat behind him and aimed the gun for him.

Well tommorrow is the big day for Brandon. We have decided to use a shotgun as a trial. If ya'll would cross your fingers or whatever you do for Brandon to have a successful trip. Just going will be good for him, but getting that first one would be great.
