I practically learned how to hunt all by myself. As the years went by, I learned a bit from other hunters here and there.
For the past three seasons, I have been on a solo mission, hunting by myself on small pieces of property that I had access to with great hunting.
This year, I took on a task, teaching a kid who had no hunting relatives or friends to get him into the sport. He dove in with both archery and shotgun. We've worked hard at it, and had a miracle season so far. I tagged out for NY's archery season, and he got his first deer during archery, a small BB. This past Sunday he got his first gun buck. Pretty neat to experience. It was certainly fun.
