whats the best bullet
I will only be shooting 75 yards or less. what grain of bullet 150gr or 165gr or 180gr and what brand. I want a good penetrating bullet, are nosler partition or trophy boned bear claws better than cheaper bullets.

RE: whats the best bullet
I only use nosler partitions on deer. Considering the amount of money I sink in to an average year's deer season, it seems kind of stupid to try and save $10 by using cheap bullets. Partitions always work, cheap bullets probably would too but why risk shooting them when I can have peace of mind for an extra few bucks.

I use a quality bullet but I can't say one is the very best .I like barnes ,hornady ,sierra to name a few . I will say I'm not a big fan of nosler though do like nosler & winchesters fail-safe bullet, but that is a hybrid . I have never tried the bear claw's but hear they are great .

Core loks, 150 grain, every deer I have taken with a rifle was taken using these, it knocks them flat and they do not get back up if hit in the vitals!

I have taken deer and pronghorn with Hornandy SP bullets. Shots were 50 yards to 350 yards. 165's will do the job! ...<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
