Hunting in the snow is the only way to go as it makes hunting so much easier as all the evidence is there and its just a matter of how to read it. I hope you dress well and in layers or your hunt we be shortened and very quik. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>

The evening shot is easier when the deer are against a white background.

Deer move in snow all the time. Actually here in MN the cold and snowy days encourage deer to move around, I believe.

In my opinion hunting with a covering of snow on the ground is the best. As others have said you can see better than at any other time, but not only that on day when deer aren't moving & you get too cold to stand still, go stalk hunting. In my experience you'll be surprised if your slow, steady, & keep your eyes open how many deer you can sneak up on. Especially with a fresh snow, you can track them & get into position for a shot.

????Snow???? Whats that? Oh, that white stuff that we hardly ever get down here.
BUT, when we do you can bet the farm that I will be hunting in it. The deer here tend to move around more.
Take care and dress warm.

They WILL bed down for at least one day after the first snow.

Walk silently and listen hard.
