Homemade scent killer
Listen guys, this year things are a little tighter than others. I got my hunt paid for, but it's the little things that are costing me.Does anyone out there have a good recommendation on how to make some decent homemade scentkiller? If you have any good ideas on anything that I can make at home to save money that will help my hunting luck, please let me know. Thank you fellow hunters.

Try to look in a past Field and Stream magazine. I remember seeing something like what you speak of in an August or September article. I was going to try it, but the price for spray in the store ended up being about the same price as making it myself. Good luck. I think the main ingredients were something like unscented shampoo, distilled water, baking soda and something else. Try and find that article in Field and Stream though. I would give it to you, but I threw that month out. Let us know how it turns out if you do it.

I followed the recipe from F&S and would not try it again - in fact I tossed it. The baking soda formed a paste on the bottom and the shampoo floated like pond scum. Save your time and money and DON'T bother. After all that...I'm just going to buy some.
