PVC Pipe boxstand??

RE: PVC Pipe boxstand??
I built one 3 years ago. It stood up to the cold very well. BUT not the wind!!!
It was also noisey as the PVC was always making creaking sounds.
In the end, it got blown over and destroyed by only 30+mph wind.
I spent over $300 on the stand and countless hours... when I could have bought a tripod for less $$$ and energy.
I'll try to find some pictures.
