found onelast night the head was eaten and the guts where hanging out looked like coyote to me.when they let loose there calls, there seems to be one for every acre for as far as I can hear .Fawn sightings have realy droped in the last 5 years.

Yep coyotes start at the rear - like TDWW. I think probobly like half of the fawns don't make it some years. It's not that big of a deal. But the coyotes hunt for them so they are a good "bait" this time of year.

As was said, the coyotes will eat from the rear forward on a large animal! The head has the least amount of meat on it and it is the last to get eaten, and a coyote isn't going to waist time chewing off the head to take back to pups!
