My cousin was coming home from school today and she saw a mother doe lying in the road dead with a fawn bedded up next to it. Being an animal lover, she put it in her car and took it home. I know its against the laws of nature, but she saw "Bambi" and had to save it. Now her mom fell in love with it and is an animal lover too, so they decided to try and keep it. They raise horses so they have a big barn to keep it in, but they wanted to know if i had any insight into the matter...so straight to the forum i came with the info. Does anybody know anything thatcould help?

And thats why i came here...my mom was looking online at what it needs and my other cousin (her brother) works at the local feed store, so he can order what they need. Im kinda out on the limb though, i dont really know if its a good idea or not to keep it. Its not decision i guess though.

Check with your fish and game department beforethey do anything else, in many states it's illegal to keep wildlife as pets without special permits such as "Wildlife Rehabilitator" or other, so they may actually be breaking the law by keeping that fawn.
