My experience is that trail camera'shave not bothered the deer. Not to say some people have had deer get spooked from them...
I have had numerious deer at a salt lick for long periods of time with the flash going off every 2 minutes on a digital camera. One mature buck stayed for over 1 hour with a2 minute delay.
Last season, every 1 to 3 1/2 year old deer that I seen on camera I saw on stand. Every 4 + oldmature buck was never seen... interesting. However also had certain weather that was related to this.

i have never had any big problems with the flash scaring deer. I've found that if you put out the camera before the season starts, the deer will get used to it and not pay much attention to it during the season. last year i must have gotten at least 100 pics of and 8 pt until the rut started. i also got many pictures of some other bucks and does throughout the season. this season i have already had many pictures of the same bucks returning. so if you get the camera out early it you should be alright.
