Buy several brands and see what shoots the best through the barrel. The barrel will tell you which brand it likes best. It may be the most expensive slug made or the cheapest.

I’ve had some good results with the Remington Copper solid but as previously mentioned your barrel will let you know in the end for accuracy. Good luck...

I use 2 and 3/4 inch sabots with 1 and 1/4 ounce slug. Basically I'm shooting a rock; and yes it HURTS when I shoot it. But I love it.

Give the Lightfield Hybrids (White Box) a try.

Start off with the Mfg ammo. If you bought a Remmington barrell, buy a few types of Rem sabots, worked well for me in the past! I just figure they test the barrells with their own ammo, so its more than likely what the barrell is tuned for.

I agree with BSTNFREEK I have an remington 870 and the only slug that will go staright out to 50 yards is the cheap remingtons. I can not shoot the sabots it hits about 4-5 yards short at 50. It did scare the crap aout of a doe afew years back(she was about 30yrds out)when I tried one and almost hit her in the hoof. So I stick to my old plain slugs. havent misse one yet knock on wood.
