Cuddeback batteries
Hello All, I have been talking about getting a digital camera for a while and even made comments about getting a moultrie for $100-$150 only cause I cant afford an expensive one(cuddebacks). Well at work I received an award for a recent project that I did and they know that I am an avid hunter so I got a cablelas gift certificate. So now I have the money and am considering a cuddeback. My only question is that the web site says 1500 pics on one battery, is this true in cold weather climate. My area is around forty to fifty in October then in November itgoes up and down and then is around twentyto thirty degrees in December and January. Will I still have good battery or are those 1500 pics only in texas? Thanks to all!

Hot, I'm not sure it matters if they last that long. Think about it, are you going to wait 40-50 days before checking the camera? I can't wait more than 2-3 weeks before checking my 35mm camera.
I use rechargable batteries. So I can take new film and fresh batteries and it ready to setup in a new spot.

I own a Cuddeback, and let me tell you, you are making an AWESOME choice. I love my Cuddeback, i have taken 700 pictures in 3 weeks in 20-40 degree weather and my battery level is just went to number 3 which is 3/4 battery life left. The battery read out goes from 1-4 with 4 being the highest. Here are a few of the pictures i have gotten with my Cuddeback so you can see the picture quality.

RE: Cuddeback batteries
I have had a Cuddeback for a couple of years now and It has been out every night since June 25 and its on its 2nd set of 4 D-cell batteries and about 3000 pictures and they still check good, I live in Mo and we have had warmer weather thanusual but we have still had some cold weather with some nights in the single digits. Get the Cuddeback , you will not regret it.
