Muzzleloader scope mounts??

RE: Muzzleloader scope mounts??
No see thru's. See thru's raise the scope to high, they cause you to cant your head and result in poor anchor which leads to poor shots. They are also known to move, shift and loss of zero...don't believe me ask any gunsmith what he thinks of see thru's. Just not reliable. I would put QR mounts on your ML, I just switched to loopy QR's, from traditional fixed Burris mounts this year and well I love them. I can't honestly see why anybody would not prefer this system on ML for cleaning alone. And yes they return to zero everytime. My 2 cents Leupold Quick Release mounts and forget the rest.

RE: Muzzleloader scope mounts??
my brother has used the see thrus with success so far. they have held there zero even with the 150gr charges and a 300gr bullet. and you can shoot fine with them as well, especially at the ranges muzzeloaders are uaed at. Ive only shot a couple groups with it but they were 2inches so i wasnt too worried about it not being accurate enough.
they may not be the strogest mounts be we are not shooting elephant guns here, these are muzzelloaders.
i like because of the ability to hunt at 10 yards and 100.

you can never have too many guns
