Default RE: Hawgs Ltd. Buck Fever scents, anyone use them?

I've used the post and pre rut urin, it didn't scare the deer so I guess it worked but the "Deer Stop" worked just as advertised, stopped the deer it there tracks to stop and smell it.

Hunting is not a sport,it's a lifestyle.

Bgidd, I am using them this year in archery season and have bagged a buck as he checked out my mock scrape.

I set up a scrape using the pre and post rut scent and the gland scent sprayed on the overhead branches. Our rut is still 3 weeks away and was a month away when I got this buck, so I'm staying away from the BF Rut scent until it gets closer. Anyway, I also laid a scent trail away from my stand using the Pre/post Rut scent on a rag around my ankle and some of the gland scent sprayed on my pants legs. I then climbed up in my stand.

I waited almost two hours without seeing a thing and was beginning to think the stuff scared away the deer when I heard some sniffing and snorting behind me. It wasn't really like the alarm type of snort, more like it got a good snoot full of something, almost like a sneeze. I really thought that the scent gave me away then, but the buck came in and laid down about 35 yards behind me. He laid there for about 10 minutes and then got up and came across the scent trail I made using the Hawg's Buck Fever stuff. He began sniffing at the trail and licking his nose and then began following it right towards my stand. After about ten yards he came to my mock scrape and spent another 3-4 minutes checking it out and turned broadside to me as he started to urinate right there on the mock scrape, just two hours after I made it!!! I hit him high in the shoulder but got both lungs.

I am keeping that scrape fresh with a dripper using the pre/post rut scent and it is showing a lot of signs of being visited. In another week or two I'm gonna switch the dripper over to the BF Rut scent as pre rut activity starts here in Nebraska.

It has worked just as advertised for me and it'll be hard to get me to try anything else now.

I tried it in a couple of places so far, and not much reaction too it. But right now as we speak, I have a trail camera set up on a mock scrape I made with it saturday. I have a friend who bought some same time I did, and when he went back to check it a buck ahd already made another scrape nearby! This was in september, and he says that he never sees scrapes at his place until mid november! also, while scouting today i found some fresh rubs and scrapes in a new area, but I didn't have the stuff with me, When I get a chance, I'm going to go back and put some of the pre-post and gland scent out at these scrapes.

3 YEARS AGO I TRIED IT, MADE THE MOCK SCRAPES, THAT SAME DAY CAM TRACKER TOOK PICS OF A FEW DOES, WITH WEEKS I HAD DOES, AND BUCKS CHECKING IT OUT, SO I LET MY FRIEND HUNT THIS AREA. I ALSO MADE MOCK SCRAPES AT MY OTHER TREE STAND SITE, I MADE THIS ONE IN LATE AUGUST, NEVER WENT BACK TO IT, I WAS USING A SCENT DRIPPER. ONCE THE COLDER WEATHER CAME, AND I SAW BUCKS CHASING THE DOES, I PUT SOME OF HAWGS RUT SCENT INTO SCRAPE. I CAME BACK FEW DAYS LATER, SUN CAME UP, AND THERE WAS A BIG RUB, WITH A BROKEN OVERHEAD BRANCH AND LARGE SCRAPE ABOUT 60 YDS FROM MY STAND. THAT MORNING, I SAW THE LARGE 7 POINTER THAT MADE IT, HE WAS COMING IN TO CHECK IT OUT, BUT 2 COYOTIES SCARED HIM OFF, LATER THAT DAY, I SHOT A 8 POINTER 20 PLUS SPREAD, DRESS OUT AT 210 LBS. THAT YEAR I SAW SO MANY BIG BUCKS. THIS STUFF IS BETTER THEN THE SO CALLED REAL STUFF. JUST HOPE THEY AT HAWGS DONT GET OVERWHELMED WITH ORDERS THAT THEY START TO CUT BACK ON QUALITY.

Checked my game camera yesterday, so far no pictures, and no tracks in the mock scrape. Found a good buck day before yesterday making real scrapes while I was scouting in the national forest, but I didn't have my stuff with me. I plan on going back and putting some of it in his scrapes, I will be muzzleloader hunting this spot Sat. Oct 26th, I'll try to report how it turns out!
